What Crew Tally is
Crew Tally is a free, browser-based tool for keeping track of a small crew’s hours, day-rate work, earnings and payments. It has two parts: public calculators you can use without an account, and a private workspace that keeps dated work entries, recorded payments and each worker’s balance on your own device.
Who it is for
The person running a small hands-on team — construction, landscaping, cleaning, events, farm work — who needs to know who worked, what they earned and what is still owed, without setting up payroll software or a complicated spreadsheet.
What it does not do
Crew Tally does not move money, run payroll, calculate taxes or deductions, or decide which pay rules apply to you. It records what you enter and does the arithmetic transparently, so every total can be explained line by line.
Where your records live
Workspace records are stored in your browser on your device. There are no accounts and no cloud sync; you keep your own backups. Public calculator pages may show advertising, which pays for hosting; the workspace never does.
